[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] "'Excellent Professional, Construction Industry Growth Partner' will be the 2030 vision of the Korea Construction Industry Research Institute, and we will contribute to the continuous growth of the construction industry based on the institute's expertise."
The Korea Construction Industry Research Institute declared its Vision 2030 on the 19th, marking its 25th anniversary. Lee Sang-ho, president of the institute, stated, "The institute is a group of experts with professionalism, social responsibility, and occupational consciousness, and will continue to contribute to the growth and innovation of the construction industry."
President Lee presented three major strategies to achieve Vision 2030: ▲ market-friendly policy development ▲ industrial innovation and globalization ▲ activation of knowledge platforms and open exchanges.
President Lee said, "As a private research institution, the institute will focus on market-friendly policy development," adding, "We will take the lead in developing policies and improving systems that can drive the sustainable growth of the construction industry based on market demand." To achieve industrial innovation and globalization, the institute plans to address tasks such as improving the government procurement system, resolving unfair practices through client innovation, promoting digital transformation of the construction industry in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, shifting construction production methods from on-site construction to factory fabrication and assembly, and reforming construction regulations.
To secure practical implementation of research results, efforts will also be made to "activate knowledge platforms and open exchanges." President Lee said, "We will share and discuss various research outcomes, increasing the feasibility of policies and systems that the industry can agree upon."
Meanwhile, to commemorate its 25th anniversary, the institute has prepared an emblem, which will be actively used in various research publications and seminars.
President Lee emphasized, "In the rapidly changing global environment, the importance of professionals who solve issues in the construction industry is growing," and added, "We will continue research activities that lead the future of the construction industry with passion and a clear sense of purpose."
