Jeonnam Fire Headquarters Conducts Special Inspection of All Voting and Counting Stations Ahead of General Election
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 17th that it will conduct a special fire safety inspection of 1,183 voting and counting stations for the 21st National Assembly election until the 31st.
Through this special fire safety inspection, the focus will be on ▲ the safety management status of fire facilities such as the placement of fire extinguishers inside polling stations ▲ maintenance of fire facilities throughout the counting station buildings ▲ safety management of emergency exits and other fire prevention matters.
Any deficiencies found during the inspection will be immediately reported to the building managers and the local election commission to ensure improvements are made before election day.
In addition to the special inspection, pre-fire safety education on how to use fire extinguishers and initial response methods in case of fire will be provided to workers and related personnel at the voting and counting stations.
Furthermore, special alert duty will be carried out before and after election day, fire patrols will be strengthened, and fire officials and fire trucks will be stationed near the counting stations to establish a rapid on-site response system in preparation for disaster accidents.
