Beijing City: "Asymptomatic Cases Also Subject to 14-Day Self-Quarantine... Costs to Be Self-Paid"
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Kiho] Beijing (北京), the capital of China, has decided to quarantine asymptomatic arrivals related to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) for 14 days. In particular, the Beijing city government has enforced that quarantine costs must be borne out-of-pocket by the individuals.
According to local media on the 15th, Beijing authorities announced strengthened control measures against imported cases with these details.
Starting from the 16th, Beijing authorities will, in principle, transfer all asymptomatic arrivals to centralized observation points to monitor their health status for 14 days. All related costs must be borne by the arrivals themselves.
