"Investigating Allegations of Concealment at Shincheonji Daegu Church" … Daegu City Analyzing 187 Documents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Daegu City has begun a detailed analysis of the materials secured through an administrative investigation of the Shincheonji Jesus Church Daegu branch.
On the 13th, Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin stated at the regular city briefing, "In the administrative investigation of the Shincheonji Daegu Church, the Daedaeoh branch leader's residence, and four other key executives' residences, we secured 187 items across 41 types, including computers, laptops, church registers, and financial accounting books. These are currently being analyzed by related agencies and departments."
The city initiated the administrative investigation for the first time the previous day to identify the routes of group infections among Shincheonji members and to investigate suspicions of concealment regarding member lists, facilities, and other related materials.
A total of 199 personnel were deployed for the administrative investigation, including 48 city officials, 149 police officers, and 2 epidemiological investigators.

Mayor Kwon said, "Although there were some scuffles with Shincheonji officials, they were generally cooperative. By analyzing the secured materials, we will be able to determine whether Shincheonji properly provided data to the city and whether they attempted to destroy evidence. Even if it takes time, we will conduct a thorough analysis."
