Lotte Hotel Delivers 2,000 Red Bean Buns to Daegu Medical Staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Amid the difficulties faced by the hotel industry due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Lotte Hotel has stepped up to make donations for medical staff.
On the 12th, Lotte Hotel announced that it delivered 2,000 red bean buns to support medical personnel in the Daegu area who are battling COVID-19.
Lotte Hotel Seoul and Lotte Hotel World each produced 1,000 fresh red bean buns on the same day at their in-house bakery, Delica Hans, and delivered them to Daegu Fatima Hospital, which has a screening clinic, through the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross.
Considering that the hotel’s signature steady-selling product, the red bean bun, is usually produced and sold in limited quantities of about 100 per day, the production volume was increased tenfold on that day.
