Stop the Cluster Infection!... Yeongdeungpo-gu Implements Quarantine at 164 Religious Facilities
Support for Disinfection and Quarantine at 164 Religious Facilities Under 500㎡, Quarantine Companies to Patrol Facilities from the 12th...Spraying Disinfectant to Remove Viruses, Request for Participation in 'Pause for Residents' Life and Safety' Campaign After Quarantine
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) has undertaken disinfection and quarantine measures as a preemptive prevention step for 164 small-scale religious facilities in the area to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, 80.1% of COVID-19 confirmed cases are related to 'cluster outbreaks,' and since 60.9% of all confirmed cases are linked to Shincheonji, religious facilities are highly exposed to infection risks.
Among them, small-scale religious facilities face significant difficulties in establishing quarantine systems due to financial constraints, so the district decided to support disinfection focusing on preemptive 'prevention.'
The disinfection targets are 164 small-scale religious facilities under 500㎡ within the district, and the district pre-selected facilities meeting the criteria regardless of religion.
Starting from the 12th, professional quarantine companies will巡回 the facilities, powerfully spraying harmless disinfectants throughout. Frequently touched objects such as door handles will be thoroughly disinfected to eliminate viruses and bacteria.
After disinfection, participation in the 'Pause for a Moment' campaign will be encouraged, requesting residents to protect lives and safety, and urging immediate contact with the district office in case of emergency situations.
The district continues to request religious facilities in the area to actively take preventive measures such as refraining from gatherings and facility disinfection to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
