Hyundai Construction Equipment prepared a 2,600㎡ (approximately 800 pyeong) exhibition space and unveiled numerous new technologies to be applied to next-generation construction equipment.
At the exhibition, they remotely operated a wheel loader located 3,400 km away in the state of Georgia, USA, and demonstrated an excavator equipped with machine control technology based on autonomous operation and tilt-rotating technology that maximizes the rotational force of the bucket.
They also introduced 'AI Vision' technology that automatically identifies people entering the work radius and issues warnings or stops the equipment depending on the proximity. By integrating Amazon's artificial intelligence platform 'Alexa,' operators can control the equipment by voice as well as listen to music and news.
Myeongsik Kang, Head of Hyundai Construction Equipment's North America branch, said, “The CONEXPO exhibition is a place where you can see the technology and market trends of construction equipment not only in North America but worldwide at a glance,” adding, “We will actively showcase Hyundai Construction Equipment's advanced technology to the global market, communicate with customers and the industry, and work to expand the market.”
