The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of confirmed domestic cases increased by 242 compared to 4 p.m. the previous day. The additional patients in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions numbered 149.
In particular, the number of patients in Seoul surged. By region, the additional patients were 131 in Daegu, the highest, followed by Seoul (52), Gyeongbuk (18), Incheon (12), Gyeonggi (12), Chungnam (8), Busan (2), Sejong (2), Chungbuk (2), Gangwon (1), Ulsan (1), and Gyeongnam (1).
