'Number 1' Ko Jin-young "New Sponsor is Solair Casino"
World No. 1 Ko Jin-young (25, photo) will join the same team as Park Sung-hyun (27).
Sema Sports Marketing, which manages Ko Jin-young, announced on the 11th that "Ko Jin-young has signed a two-year sponsorship contract with the Philippine company Solaire." They added, "Specific contract terms will not be disclosed by mutual agreement," and "the level is befitting of the world No. 1." Ko Jin-young will now compete with the logo of Solaire Resort and Casino, under Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels. Park Sung-hyun, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, has been sponsored by this company since last year.

Ko Jin-young debuted on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour in 2018 and won Rookie of the Year. Last year, she swept four victories including two majors, earning her the money title, lowest scoring average award, and Player of the Year honors. She is currently dominating the world rankings at No. 1 for 33 consecutive weeks. She expressed, "With a strong sponsor behind me, I will take on tournaments with even greater responsibility." She will compete in the Volvik Founders Cup held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, on the 19th.
