[Photo] Weihai City, China Sends 15,000 Health Masks to Yongsan-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Weihai City, China (Mayor Zhang Haibo) supported Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun), a sister city, with 15,000 health masks on the 9th.
Last month, the district sent letters of support from the district mayor to three Chinese sister cities, including Weihai City, to encourage overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.
In response, Weihai City sent masks along with a letter from the mayor saying, "Let's overcome the crisis together."
Besides Yongsan-gu, Weihai City also supported masks to Suseong-gu in Daegu City, Bucheon City, Gunsan City, Hwaseong City, and Yeosu City.
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "We deeply appreciate Weihai City for sending masks to help overcome the COVID-19 crisis."

Yongsan-gu and Weihai City signed a sister city agreement in 2007 and have maintained steady exchanges, including mutual visits by delegations.
