Additional COVID-19 Cases Reported in Gimpo City... What Are the Confirmed Patients' Movement Paths?
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] One additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.
On the 10th, Gimpo City announced that a contact of a confirmed case at the 'Ace Insurance Call Center' in Sindorim, Guro-gu, Seoul (confirmed on the 8th) tested positive following a specimen test on the night of the 9th.
The confirmed case is a 49-year-old woman residing in Prugio 1st Complex, Pungmu-dong.
According to Gimpo City, the main movement route of the confirmed case involved commuting on weekdays, taking the Gimpo Urban Railway from Pungmu Station at 7:20 a.m.
She then transferred to Line 5 at Gimpo Airport, traveled via Line 2 at Kkachisan, Line 1 at Sindorim, and took a bus to her workplace (Ace Insurance), returning home by the reverse route after work.
Another movement route was investigated, showing that on the 2nd she had dinner near her workplace in Seoul, and on the 3rd, 5th, and 9th she visited stores, a bakery, and a pharmacy in her residential area of Pungmu-dong.
Gimpo City has initially closed the locations visited and plans to conduct additional disinfection.
The specific movement routes and contacts of the confirmed case are currently under investigation. Emergency disinfection has been completed at the shared entrances, elevators, and staircases of the apartment building where she resides.
