[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] KB Insurance announced on the 9th that it will support the installation of a mental and physical relaxation room for 119 paramedics who are exclusively responsible for transporting suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The project to support the installation of mental and physical relaxation rooms for firefighters aims to help firefighters heal by installing such rooms within 119 Safety Centers. This has been KB Insurance's representative social contribution project since 2016.
In addition, KB Insurance employees will personally prepare 500 'cheering kits' consisting of fatigue recovery supplements and personal hygiene products for 119 paramedics and quarantine officials in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and deliver them along with handwritten letters to the Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters.
Furthermore, KB Insurance will participate in the Good Landlord Movement. It has decided to waive the entire rent for one month in March for small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises residing in buildings owned by KB Insurance in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.
This measure was decided as part of the company-wide support plan to overcome COVID-19 by the Group Emergency Management Committee, chaired by KB Financial Group Chairman Yoon Jong-kyu.
