The 49th COVID-19 Death in Korea Occurs... 5 More Deaths in One Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The 49th death from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea has occurred.
According to health authorities on the 7th, at around 9:18 a.m., Mr. A (91) passed away at Daegu Medical Center. The number of deaths in Daegu increased by five in one day.
Mr. A, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, was hospitalized at Daegu Munseong Hospital. On the 29th of last month, when a COVID-19 patient was identified within the hospital, he was asymptomatic but underwent testing. The next day, on the 1st, he developed fever and respiratory distress symptoms and was confirmed positive for COVID-19. He was transferred to Daegu Medical Center on the 2nd for treatment.
