Jule, Closing Operations at Three Flagship Stores Including Garosugil from the 8th
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] The liquid-type e-cigarette brand Juul is closing operations at three offline flagship stores. This move comes as the company faces various health-related controversies surrounding liquid-type e-cigarettes and begins restructuring its domestic business.
Juul Labs Korea announced on the 6th that it will close three Juul stores?the Serosu-gil branch, Gwanghwamun branch, and Yeonnam branch?starting from the 8th.
At the end of last year, Juul Labs initiated a major organizational restructuring on a global scale to reorganize the e-cigarette category and its organization from a long-term perspective. On January 16, it also announced that it is reviewing future strategies and operational plans for the Korean market.
However, the company denied rumors of withdrawing from the Korean market, stating that it plans to resume resale of products such as 'Juul Pod Classic' and 'Juul Pod Fresh' mainly at convenience stores in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon regions within this month.
