[Asia Economy Reporter Eunbyeol Kim] Lee Ju-yeol, Governor of the Bank of Korea, has canceled his originally scheduled business trip to the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) meeting and will attend the related meetings via conference call. Governor Lee was scheduled to depart on the 6th to attend the BIS Board of Directors and Governors meeting.
The Bank of Korea announced on the 5th, "Governor Lee is expected to attend the BIS Board of Directors and related meetings on the 8th and 9th via conference call."
The Bank of Korea explained that BIS decided to cancel the face-to-face meeting originally planned to be held in Basel, Switzerland, and replace the Board of Directors and related meetings with conference calls.
