Three Children Dead in Fire at Commercial-Residential Building in Gangdong-gu, Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A fire broke out in a commercial-residential building in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, resulting in the deaths of three children.
According to the fire authorities, the Gangdong Fire Station received a report of a fire on the third floor of a commercial-residential building in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, around 3 p.m. on the 4th. They responded and extinguished the fire within about 20 minutes.
The fire claimed the lives of a 4-year-old boy and two girls aged 4 and 7.

The police and fire authorities have determined that only the children were inside the house at the time of the fire and are investigating the exact circumstances of the deaths and the cause of the fire.
