Jeonnam Fire Department Supports 119 Ambulance Teams in Daegu, a Special COVID-19 Management Area
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 4th that it will urgently support the 119 ambulance team in Daegu, a special management area for the infectious disease ‘COVID-19’.
They are dispatching 10 ambulances and 21 paramedics to the Daegu area to support patient transport in two shifts.
Following the issuance of Mobilization Order No. 1 by the National Fire Agency on the 28th of last month, Jeonnam Fire dispatched 5 paramedics and 5 ambulances, and recently sent an additional 5 paramedics to the Daegu area. On the 3rd, following the issuance of Mobilization Order No. 2, they dispatched 5 more ambulances and 11 paramedics.
The ‘Mobilization Order’ is issued by the Commissioner of the National Fire Agency to deploy necessary firefighting personnel when a large-scale disaster occurs. Depending on the scale of mobilization, it is divided into three stages: Order No. 1 supports 5% of firefighting personnel, Order No. 2 supports 10%, and Order No. 3 supports 20%.
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters reported that the 119 ambulance teams dispatched to Daegu have transported 53 confirmed patients currently under self-quarantine to medical institutions.
