CJ Freshway to Operate Food and Beverage Services at Seoul National University Welfare Facilities Starting June
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] CJ Freshway, a food ingredient distribution and group catering specialist under CJ Group, has succeeded in securing the concession (food and beverage outsourcing) business for welfare facilities for Seoul National University alumni and faculty members.
CJ Freshway announced on the 4th that it will operate food and beverage services (catering) related to banquets, academic conferences, and weddings starting from June.
As part of the concession business, CJ Freshway participated in a public competitive bidding in February to select the operator of Engineer House, one of Seoul National University's welfare facilities, and was selected as the final operator. The contract period is for five years until May 2025.
A representative from CJ Freshway's concession business team stated, "We will mobilize all the capabilities accumulated through various concession projects to provide high-quality food and beverage services to customers visiting the Alumni Hall," adding, "The weekday-operated restaurant plans to enhance menu expertise by deploying experienced chefs."

To strengthen its concession business, CJ Freshway has been operating a concession development team since May last year and currently provides food and beverage services at about 12 business sites, including Haengdamdo Rest Area, Gimhae Airport, and food courts in large supermarkets.
