[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] In Japan, 9 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in one day, bringing the total number of infected people to 955.
According to a compilation of announcements from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and local governments, as of 7:30 PM on that day, the number of COVID-19 cases in Japan includes 236 domestic infections (including travelers from China), 705 cruise ship passengers, and 14 charter flight returnees.
