One More COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Gangnam-gu...Total 8 Cases
A 32-year-old woman living in a villa near Yeongdong High School in Cheongdam-dong, currently working as a freelance clothing business operator, visited Milan, Italy with 10 business partners for clothing business from the 19th for 5 days, tested at Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the 28th after returning, and was confirmed positive on the morning of the 29th.

Jung Soon-gyun, head of Gangnam-gu Office, announced in a briefing that "As a result, among those tested for COVID-19 at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center, 8 were confirmed positive, of which 4 are residents of Gangnam-gu."
The confirmed patient is a 32-year-old woman living in a villa near Yeongdong High School in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu. She currently works as a freelance clothing business professional. From the 19th, she visited Milan, Italy for 5 days with 10 business partners for clothing business purposes. After returning, she was tested at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the 28th and was confirmed positive on the morning of the 29th.
The woman had normal body temperature and no unusual symptoms after her overseas business trip. However, on the afternoon of the 27th, she was informed that a 39-year-old male colleague who traveled with her to Italy tested positive at Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center. She then underwent testing herself and was confirmed positive.
Immediately after the additional confirmed case was identified, Gangnam-gu notified the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and Seoul City, and is preparing to transfer the confirmed patient to an isolation hospital bed.
To prevent local spread of 'COVID-19,' Gangnam-gu ordered the voluntary closure of the confirmed patient's office in Nonhyeon-dong and identified close contacts for self-quarantine measures.
Additionally, Gangnam-gu thoroughly traced the confirmed patient's domestic movements after returning from the overseas business trip. First-round disinfection was conducted at the confirmed patient's villa residence in Cheongdam-dong, the office in Nonhyeon-dong, as well as 10 locations including a plastic surgery clinic near Gangnam Station intersection, beauty salons, clothing stores, restaurants, cafes, studios, and convenience stores within Gangnam-gu.
Gangnam-gu will conduct comprehensive testing of the confirmed patient's close contacts and business partners regardless of symptoms, and plans to carry out a second round of detailed disinfection at locations revealed by the confirmed patient's movement history.
