COVID-19 Confirmed in Cafeteria Staff at Samsung Electronics Giheung Campus
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A cafeteria worker at Samsung Electronics' Giheung campus has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Samsung Electronics closed the cafeteria where the confirmed case worked and carried out disinfection measures.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 29th, a cafeteria worker at SR1 within the Giheung campus tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
The cafeteria employee who tested positive did not move through the hall and was responsible for vegetable disinfection and packaging in a separate area called the preprocessing room, where there was no contact with restaurant users, while wearing a mask and gloves.
After the confirmed case's family member tested positive for COVID-19 the day before, Samsung Electronics immediately closed the SR1 cafeteria and conducted disinfection measures. Additionally, other cafeteria employees were placed under self-quarantine immediately.
