LG Electronics Shareholders Meeting on 26th Next Month... President Kwon Bong-seok to Become Inside Director
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 29th that it will hold the 18th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on the morning of the 26th of next month at the Yeouido Twin Towers in Seoul.
At the shareholders' meeting, LG Electronics plans to newly appoint President Kwon Bong-seok, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Vice President Bae Doo-yong, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as inside directors.
Professor Baek Yong-ho of Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Policy Science will be reappointed as an outside director and audit committee member.
Additionally, LG Electronics will propose to amend the articles of incorporation at the shareholders' meeting to add "mail-order sales and e-commerce related business" to the company's purpose.
