Public Facility Usage Fee Discount Service Expanded to 200 Locations
Ministry of the Interior and Safety to Provide 1 Billion Won in Special Grants
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The application area for the 'Public Facility Usage Fee Reduction Eligibility Verification Service,' which allows users to check their eligibility for fee reductions and receive immediate discounts when using public facilities, will be expanded.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 1st that the number of local governments applying the verification service will be expanded from the current 62 to about 200 this year, and a project call will be promoted on the 20th of this month.
The Public Facility Usage Fee Reduction Eligibility Verification Service informs users whether they are eligible for fee reductions when using public facilities such as parking lots, cultural facilities, and sports facilities operated by local governments or public institutions. For example, in the case of public parking lots, the vehicle number is automatically recognized upon entry and exit, and it is immediately verified whether the vehicle qualifies for a reduction (such as vehicles for the disabled, national merit recipients, compact cars, low-emission vehicles, etc.) and the discount is applied instantly.
