COVID-19 Patient No. 161's Father Confirmed Positive During Self-Quarantine
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] It has been confirmed that Mr. A (65), the father of COVID-19 patient number 161, tested positive on the morning of the 27th while under self-quarantine.
Since the 21st of this month, Mr. A had been under self-quarantine at his home in Namyang Apartment, Hongje 1-dong (168 Hongjenae-gil), receiving phone monitoring twice daily from a dedicated public official at the Hongje 1-dong Community Service Center.
During this period, he developed a fever, was tested on the 26th, and received a positive diagnosis on the morning of the 27th. He was then isolated at the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, a government-designated isolation hospital.
Mr. A had entered self-quarantine after his second son, who lived with him, tested positive at the screening clinic of Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital on the 20th of this month and was transferred to the National Medical Center.
Mr. A’s first son, who was also under self-quarantine, tested negative in the test conducted together with his father and is continuing to maintain self-quarantine.
