According to the police and quarantine authorities on the 27th, confirmed case A (26, female), residing in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, works as a nurse in charge of blood collection on a blood donation bus. It was confirmed that the blood donation bus where A worked visited Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul on the 19th of this month, and Gangseo Police Station in Seoul and Goyang Police Station in Gyeonggi on the 25th. The police had encouraged employees to donate blood as part of the 'Love Sharing Campaign' in response to the recent blood shortage crisis.
The police stations involved have placed employees who donated blood and those who had contact with the confirmed case under self-quarantine and have begun disinfecting the buildings. At Goyang Police Station, 12 employees participated in blood donation, and 9 employees had work-related contact with the confirmed case. These employees have been placed under self-quarantine, and four members of the task force will be temporarily isolated at the Hyoja Security Center.
Additionally, Yeongdeungpo Police Station placed two close contacts, including employees who had meals with the confirmed case, under self-quarantine and disinfected the entire building on the 27th. Gangseo Police Station also placed nine employees who participated in blood donation under self-quarantine and disinfected the entire building. So far, 32 contacts have been identified across the three police stations.
