Gwangju Nam-gu to Conduct Comprehensive Survey of 'Road Name Address Guide Facilities' by May
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 27th that it will conduct a comprehensive survey of road name address guide facilities installed within the district to prevent various safety accidents and resolve residents' inconveniences.
This comprehensive survey will be conducted from this month until May.
Currently, there are a total of 26,585 road name address guide facilities installed in the district, with building number plates accounting for the majority at 22,248, followed by 4,320 road name plates, 10 basic number plates, and 7 regional guide plates.
Nam-gu will conduct a survey of each road section within the district using the road name base map database drawings through a service company, and will also carry out on-site inspections to verify consistency with the drawings from the National Address Information System (KAIS).
In addition, they plan to check whether number plates have been damaged or lost in areas with dense commercial establishments, take necessary measures, correct errors in Romanization, and examine whether the guide facilities obstruct passage, as well as consider additional installations at intersections and residential areas.
