[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] CJ Logistics announced on the 27th that it will provide free personal courier (C2C) services to residents of Daegu and Gyeongbuk who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) throughout the month of March.
According to CJ Logistics, the volume of personal courier shipments either sent by residents of Daegu and Gyeongbuk or sent to those regions from outside has been increasing due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation. In particular, with the infectious disease crisis alert level recently raised to 'serious,' it is predicted that demand in March will more than double compared to the current level.
Accordingly, CJ Logistics plans to waive all fees for personal courier shipments either delivered to or sent from Daegu and Gyeongbuk for one month starting from March 1st.
Reservations can be made through the CJ Logistics website, and shipments with either the origin or destination in Daegu or Gyeongbuk can be registered free of charge. Once the reservation is completed, courier drivers in the respective regions will collect the packages contactlessly at the agreed location with the customer.
