Strengthening Core Functions Around Achasan Station... District Unit Plan 'Amendment Approved'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Onyu] The central living functions of the area around Achasan Station along Cheonho-daero, which has remained undeveloped for a long time, will be strengthened.
On the 27th, Seoul City announced that the 2nd Urban and Architectural Joint Committee approved the district unit plan for the Achasan Station area with modifications on the 26th.
The Achasan Station district is an area where the district unit plan was reorganized to strengthen central functions in response to changes in surrounding areas such as Gunja and Guui districts, based on the locational characteristics along Cheonho-daero in Junggok-dong, Seoul.
Through this reorganization, a rational adjustment of the infrastructure plan has created conditions for voluntary maintenance. Instead of maintaining the Achasan Special Planning Zone, which had long remained undeveloped, Seoul City improved the system allowing adjustments to zoning districts to enable autonomous development of an appropriate scale. The plan includes changes to joint development plans to ease excessive regulations and maintenance of long-unexecuted roads.
