According to local media on the 26th (local time), a man in his 60s who recently traveled to Italy was confirmed as a COVID-19 patient through two tests.
The man traveled in the northern region of Italy from the 9th to the 21st and showed symptoms similar to COVID-19 upon returning. The first test at a hospital in S?o Paulo city showed a positive result, and he was transferred to a government-designated quarantine facility for a second test. The Brazilian Ministry of Health stated that the man is currently in self-isolation and his health condition is relatively stable.
