The Environment Corporation announced on the 26th that it held the '2nd Emergency Countermeasure Meeting' on the 25th to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and decided accordingly.
The Environment Corporation has decided to deliver more than 6,000 masks (worth approximately 15 million KRW) to Daegu Metropolitan City. In addition, about 100 executives and employees plan to contribute to alleviating blood shortages through social contribution activities such as donating blood certificates. On the 11th, the Environment Corporation also donated 87 blood certificates through a blood donation social contribution activity conducted for headquarters executives and employees.
Furthermore, plans include supporting disinfection and quarantine at the daycare center in the Comprehensive Environmental Research Complex in Seo-gu, Incheon, and establishing a work system for employees in infection-spreading areas.
To protect the health of executives and employees and prevent the spread of infectious diseases to local communities, the Environment Corporation decided to actively implement telecommuting, official leave, and annual leave for employees returning from overseas business trips after the 23rd.
All pregnant employees will work from home from the 26th until the 3rd of next month. Employees belonging to the National Water Industry Cluster, Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, and Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters will also work from home as needed.
Field workers at construction sites will have their temperature checked upon entry, and if a fever is detected, entry will be restricted. Scheduled progress and completion inspections requiring inter-regional travel will be postponed. If a confirmed case occurs on-site, the site office will be closed, and strong measures such as disinfection and suspension of construction will be implemented.
