Korea Forest Service Recruiting 400 Volunteer 'Forest Interpreters'

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 25th that it is recruiting 400 volunteer-type 'Forest Interpreters.'
The recruited forest interpreters will provide forest interpretation services from March to November at major arboretums and urban forests nationwide.
This project started in 2015 with 259 participants, followed by 238 in 2016, 499 in 2017, 375 in 2018, and 368 in 2019.
This year's project will be implemented mainly by eight operating organizations: ▲ Daejeon·Chungnam Forest Interpreters Association ▲ Daejeon·Chunam Ecology Research Institute ▲ Chungbuk Forest Interpreters Association ▲ Gyeongbuk Nature Love Federation ▲ Forest Ecology Leaders Association ▲ Busan·Gyeongnam Forest Interpreters Association ▲ Korea Forest Interpreters Association ▲ Gyeongbuk Forest Interpreters Association.

Lee Yong-kwon, Director of Forest Education and Healing at the Korea Forest Service, said, "This project aims to allow forest interpreters to feel a sense of fulfillment and pride as forest education experts through volunteer-type jobs, and to increase opportunities for the public to receive forest education services." He added, "The Korea Forest Service plans to continue expanding and developing the forest interpretation volunteer system to create high-quality forest jobs."
