Purchase Train Tickets with Cash on Smartphones

Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 25th that starting from the 26th, it will launch a 'Simple Cash Payment' service that allows users to pay from a pre-registered account by entering only a 6-digit password when buying tickets online or via smartphone.
Railroad members can register their personal account once by selecting the simple payment option on the payment screen of the website or the mobile app 'KORAIL Talk,' and thereafter, they can complete cash payments by entering only their password.

To enable this, KORAIL established a simple payment system via real-time account transfer on KORAIL Talk, where cash payments were previously unavailable, and simplified the authentication process on the website to allow payments via account transfer without a digital certificate. The service will be available on the KORAIL website and Android smartphones from the 26th, and on iOS smartphones from the 27th.
