Busan Facilities Corporation Announces Additional Closures of Key Facilities Including Jagalchi Market and Taejongdae Resort
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] Busan Facilities Corporation is implementing additional temporary closures of major facilities in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and the escalation of the infection risk alert to the severe level.
The 1st and 2nd floors of the modernized Busan Jagalchi Market building will be temporarily closed for 8 days from the 25th to the 3rd of next month. The Gwangbok Memorial Hall will suspend free movie screenings temporarily and will remain closed from the 25th until the COVID-19 emergency situation is lifted.
The Danubi Train and cruise ships within Taejongdae Resort Park will also cease operations. The Danubi Train, Eunhasu Cruise Ship, and Taewon Cruise Ship will completely suspend operations from the 24th to the 8th of next month, while the Gonpo Cruise Ship will suspend operations until the 22nd of next month.
Choo Yeonggil, Director of Busan Facilities Corporation, stated, “With concerns over citizen safety due to the spread of COVID-19, we will do our best to prevent further infection spread through temporary closures of major facilities.”
Earlier, on the 23rd, the corporation held an emergency countermeasure meeting and decided on temporary closure of Hanmaeum Sports Center; temporary closure of multi-use facilities such as Pororo Library, Children's Cinema, Workshop, Rental Facilities, and Play Facilities within Citizen Park; minimizing visitors to Yeongnak Park for cremation and funeral visits; refusal of boarding for Duribal users not wearing masks; and recommending Hi-Pass use on Gwangandaegyo Bridge.
