Duol Enters Emergency Response System for COVID-19... "Focusing on Normalizing China Business Headquarters"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Global automotive interior materials specialist Dooall announced on the 25th that it has entered an emergency response system due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus. While issuing company-wide urgent guidelines for infection prevention, it is also making every effort to quickly normalize operations at its local factories in China.
The company stated, "Although there have been no direct damages from infections yet, under the leadership of an internal task force (TF), we are maintaining emergency responses not only at our local sites in China but also at domestic business locations until the situation enters a stabilization phase."
Dooall is a mid-sized company specializing in manufacturing seat covers, fabrics, and airbags for global automotive brands, operating local production subsidiaries in Beijing, Chongqing, Changzhou, and Jiangyin in China.
Around the Lunar New Year holiday, when the COVID-19 virus first became an issue, Dooall minimized damage through proactive measures such as supporting company expenses to promptly repatriate all expatriates and their families stationed in China and ensuring they completed more than 14 days of self-quarantine.
The factories in China are currently operating with minimal personnel, and recently, to prevent infections and ensure the safety of production workers, the headquarters urgently supplied hand sanitizers and masks. Additionally, not only in China but also domestically, the company has strictly restricted employee travel such as business trips and fieldwork, encouraging the use of video conferencing systems, and is closely monitoring the situation through frequent reports to the CEO.

A company official said, "Since we have a global production system established in Europe, South America, and other regions, our dependence on the Chinese subsidiary is low, so the impact on overall company performance is not significant. However, we are continuing company-wide responses in preparation for a prolonged situation. Above all, we are making management decisions based on the principle that the safety of Dooall employees is the top priority, and we will additionally devise phased response plans depending on future developments."
