"Will Use as an Opportunity to Innovate Face-to-Face Work Methods"
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] SK Telecom will implement work-from-home for one week starting from the 25th due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to industry sources on the 24th, SK Telecom announced a notice recommending all employees to work from home until the weekend, from the 25th to the 1st of next month. Employees were advised to use necessary work tools for remote work, refrain from going out, and minimize movement.
Those whose office work is essential in emergency situations are exempt. In preparation for a prolonged COVID-19 spread, SK Telecom plans to establish backup systems such as shift adjustments for essential personnel including network management. The decision on whether to extend the work-from-home period will be made later, considering the occurrence of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
SK Telecom will temporarily close Actium, the daycare center, healthcare spaces, Tium, and the press room within the headquarters T Tower starting tomorrow. Employees are advised to refrain from going out during the work-from-home period. Additionally, the company will conduct daily evening disinfection of the building while employees work remotely.
