COVID-19 Cases Surge by 231 in One Day... 4 Patients Released from Quarantine (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] On the 24th, 231 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed domestically, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 833.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters for COVID-19 on that day, 70 additional cases were confirmed in the afternoon. Among them, 53 cases were from the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and the rest were from Busan (12), Gyeonggi (2), Seoul (1), Daejeon (1), and Ulsan (1).
Earlier that morning, 161 cases were confirmed, making a total of 231 confirmed cases for the day.

The number of patients released from quarantine also increased by 4. The 9th, 13th, 15th, and 20th patients were cured and released from quarantine on that day. As a result, a total of 22 patients have been cured and released from quarantine.
