View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] Park Hyun-min, the new president of the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), officially took office on the 24th.
In his inaugural speech, President Park stated, "Let us return to the basics and clarify KRISS's role," adding, "We must rapidly transform into a new paradigm through bold investment and focus on the changing industrial ecosystem."
He also emphasized harmony within the organization and declared that during his term, he would operate the institute based on three principles: 'an excellent research institute,' 'clear achievement creation,' and 'decision-making based on principles and trust.'
President Park stressed, "KRISS was an excellent institution recognized by everyone in the past and deservedly so," and added, "Reflecting on our history, we will further inherit and develop the good legacy while quickly improving the issues to once again become a leading research institute representing government-funded research institutes."
