On the 24th, Siheung Police Station announced, "A police officer who recently visited Daegu tested positive for COVID-19 and was transferred to Myeongji Hospital in Ilsan." The officer was tested during a night shift at the police station early that morning and was immediately isolated after receiving a positive test result.
The officer reportedly visited Daegu, where his in-laws live, from the 15th to the 17th. Afterwards, he showed symptoms of mild fever and cough and visited a public health center in Bucheon, his place of residence, the previous afternoon to undergo testing.
