[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Gyeongnam. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gyeongnam to six.
On the morning of the 22nd, Park Seong-ho, Deputy Governor of Gyeongnam Province, held a briefing at the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Press Center and stated, "Among those tested for COVID-19, one additional confirmed case each was found in Changwon and Hapcheon."
The additional confirmed cases are a 46-year-old female nurse at Hanmaeum Hospital in Changwon and a 39-year-old woman in Hapcheon County. Hanmaeum Hospital, where the confirmed case occurred, has initiated a full ward closure. The patient in Changwon was isolated in the negative pressure room at Masan Medical Center, and the patient in Hapcheon was isolated in the negative pressure room at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital.
