Former Cheongsong County Mayor Han Dong-su Found Dead While Under Prosecutor Investigation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Former Gyeongbuk Cheongsong County Governor Han Dong-su was found dead in a vehicle in an open area within the Andong City Culture and Tourism Complex around 9:30 a.m. on the 21st.
According to the police, former Governor Han went missing after leaving his home on the 18th, saying he was going to Daegu to meet a lawyer.
During his tenure, former Governor Han had been under prosecution investigation after suspicions arose that he had engaged in transactions involving hundreds of millions of won related to the construction of a wind power generation complex.
The police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.

The Daegu District Prosecutors' Office stated on the same day, "The prosecution has never directly summoned the deceased for investigation, and he cooperated willingly during the search and seizure process," adding, "We deeply regret the death of the deceased and extend our sincere condolences to the bereaved family."
