On the 20th, Lee posted on Facebook titled "War against COVID-19... Conducting a full investigation of Shincheonji," stating, "Confirmed COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing centered around Shincheonji believers," and emphasized, "To prevent the spread of community infection, we will identify all locations where Shincheonji believers have been active and carry out rapid quarantine measures."
He continued, "We demand the Shincheonji church to immediately close all Shincheonji worship halls and suspend all gatherings and volunteer activities, and also to promptly report worship halls and areas of gatherings and volunteer activities within the province to Gyeonggi Province," requesting their cooperation.
He also urged, "Gyeonggi Province will implement quarantine measures in the relevant areas and closely monitor whether activities are suspended to prevent further spread of infection," and asked, "Shincheonji members who attended gatherings in Daegu should immediately report their attendance to the local health center and cooperate actively with measures such as self-quarantine."
Furthermore, Lee added, "The voluntary participation of believers will determine whether the infection spreads in the community."
