[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] KBS announcer Han Sang-heon has expressed his intention to voluntarily step down in relation to the personal life revelations exposed by the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon).

On the 20th, Han Sang-heon conveyed through KBS, "I wish to voluntarily step down as I do not want to cause any harm to the programs I am hosting."

However, regarding the personal life revelations, he stated, "I will clarify the matter later after organizing the controversy that is not based on accurate facts."

Earlier, Han Sang-heon became the center of controversy when his real name was mentioned during a live broadcast on the YouTube channel 'Gaseyeon' on the 18th.

On that day, Gaseyeon covered the report on 'a woman A from an entertainment establishment who threatened a broadcasting station announcer and accomplice B receiving 1 year imprisonment and 2 years probation respectively,' revealing that the victim of the threat in the case was announcer Han Sang-heon.

Following this, rumors about Han Sang-heon's departure surfaced, and posts demanding his resignation were continuously uploaded on the KBS viewer bulletin board.

Meanwhile, Han Sang-heon joined KBS in 2011 as part of the 38th public recruitment announcer class. He served as the main MC for major events such as the Olympics and Asian Games, and became well-known through programs like 'Who Does It Better,' '2TV Morning,' 'Live Morning Is Good,' and 'Chase 60 Minutes.'
