Daemyang-gun to Recruit 'Small but Strong Farm Management Entities' Until the 18th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 18th that it is recruiting new Gangsonong (Strong Small-scale Farmer) management entities until the 18th of next month to nurture competitive farmers with small-scale operations.
The Gangsonong support project is a program that strengthens the autonomous and self-reliant capabilities of management entities through farm management improvement education and fosters small but future growth-potential agricultural management entities.
The target participants are early-stage returning farmers and those who have completed existing Gangsonong education and wish to receive refresher training, with 30 people being recruited on a first-come, first-served basis.
Selected participants can receive education to improve agricultural competitiveness, including agricultural management improvement capability enhancement training, customized consulting, support for autonomous group activities, and provision of agricultural technology information.
The training will be conducted from the 23rd of next month until November.
The training proceeds in the order of basic education, advanced education, and follow-up education. Basic education covers standard competency diagnosis of management entities and understanding of the Gangsonong fostering program.
Advanced education covers methods for setting short- and long-term goals and how to write management improvement practice notes, while follow-up education deals with feedback through execution report review and operation of autonomous groups.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "We hope this training will further develop the capabilities of Gangsonong and give them the strength to grow continuously," adding, "We plan to actively promote support projects for marketing and branding in the future."
