In a post on his Facebook on the same day, former leader Hong described the launch of the United Future Party as "a great achievement of bringing together my forces that had been divided since the impeachment."
He added, "Although some people are not participating, I expect that after the general election, everyone will unite and join forces to oppose the evils of the Moon Jae-in administration."
He said, "I thank everyone who has worked to unite the conservative right-wing forces that had been tangled like a Gordian knot," and urged, "Let's all come together and achieve a landslide victory in this general election."

On the same day, the United Future Party was launched by uniting the conservative camps including the Liberty Korea Party, the New Conservative Party, and the Forward for Future 4.0 (Jeonjin Party). The unification of the conservative camp comes more than three years after the Saenuri Party split following the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye in January 2017.
