Hwasun-gun '2021 Eco-friendly Agriculture Infrastructure Project' Contest
Applications Accepted Until April 20
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 17th that it is accepting applications for the ‘2021 Eco-friendly Agriculture Infrastructure Establishment Project’ until April 20.
This project was promoted to preserve the agricultural environment, improve efficiency, scale, and reduce production costs of eco-friendly agricultural products, and expand the supply and consumption base of eco-friendly agricultural products and processed goods.
Producer organizations practicing eco-friendly agriculture such as farming cooperatives, agricultural corporations, agricultural cooperatives, and cooperatives can apply for the project.
For rice, producer organizations wishing to practice eco-friendly agriculture in areas where rice is collectivized over 10 hectares and more than 10 farms participate can apply.
For leafy vegetables, fruit vegetables, and root vegetables, producer organizations practicing eco-friendly agriculture in areas where collectivization is over 2 hectares and more than 5 farms participate can apply.
The subsidy covers 80% of the project cost (30% national funds and 50% local funds), with a 20% self-payment.
Applications must be submitted to the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center by April 20.
The support projects include ▲Production-centered type (facilities, equipment, and education consulting for eco-friendly agricultural product production, storage, and distribution) ▲Processing-centered type (facilities, equipment, and education/experience facilities needed for processing, packaging, and distribution of eco-friendly agricultural products) ▲Consumer-centered type (exclusive sales outlets of consumer cooperatives).
The county has so far selected and completed support projects for one site in Hwasun-eup, one site in Dogok-myeon, two sites in Chunyang-myeon, and one site in Iyang-myeon, and this year is promoting support projects targeting eco-friendly agricultural producer organizations in Cheongpung-myeon.
A county official said, “We will expand the foundation of eco-friendly agricultural producer organizations in the county to enhance the competitiveness of eco-friendly agriculture,” adding, “We will promote various support projects such as expanding the production area of eco-friendly agriculture and infrastructure expansion to increase farm income and foster the development of future agriculture in the region.”
