Professor Jeongcheol Ye of KAIST Appointed as Distinguished Lecture Professor by the Korean Society of Medical and Biological Engineering
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] KAIST announced on the 14th that Professor Yeo Jong-cheol (photo) of the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering at the main campus was recently appointed as a Distinguished Lecturer (DL) of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE EMBS), a society under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
The Distinguished Lecturer position is selected by the IEEE EMBS, and Professor Yeo was appointed in recognition of his contributions to research in artificial intelligence technology for medical image restoration.
Professor Yeo's Distinguished Lecturer activities will be maintained for two years starting this year. During this period, he will represent the IEEE EMBS in delivering invited lectures.
The Distinguished Lecturer program is conducted to disseminate and educate the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in the field of biomedical engineering to biomedical engineering researchers and society members worldwide.
