Prophecy is a concept car that further expands Hyundai’s design philosophy of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and is scheduled to be unveiled for the first time at the ‘2020 Geneva International Motor Show’ opening next month.
The new EV concept car features an elegant silhouette with flowing curves inspired by aerodynamic design, extending richly from the front to the rear. The rear, emphasized by an integrated spoiler and pixel lamp taillights, evokes a sense of speed like the sleek tail of an aircraft designed to reduce air resistance.
The name Prophecy was chosen to signify its role as the design icon of Hyundai’s EV lineup and to present the direction of future Hyundai Motor design.
Lee Sang-yup, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, said, “The ‘Prophecy’ concept car we are presenting this time emphasizes timeless beauty rather than following trends,” adding, “The unique design of this concept car will serve as an opportunity to further broaden the horizon of Hyundai’s design.”
