Hwasun-gun Strengthens Coronavirus Prevention Measures
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) is strengthening disinfection of public transportation, transportation facilities, and multi-use facilities and conducting prevention campaign activities to block the local inflow of the novel coronavirus infection.
According to the county on the 12th, all public transportation and transportation facilities passing through the Hwasun area are disinfected at least once a day.
Recently, confirmed cases have occurred in Gwangju Metropolitan City adjacent to Hwasun, and since there are many public transportation routes between Gwangju and Hwasun, concerns about local inflow have increased, leading to strengthened disinfection activities.
Accordingly, the county disinfects rural buses, intercity bus terminals, county bus stops, taxis, etc. at least once a day, and bus stops with high usage frequency are also disinfected at least once a day.
Hand sanitizers have been placed in public transportation such as buses and taxis, as well as at bus stops.
Earlier, on the 10th, the county disinfected multi-use facilities such as Baegasan and Hancheon Natural Recreation Forests, Manyeonsan Healing Forest Center, and the wooden culture experience center near Yuma Temple.
In addition, the interiors and exteriors of facilities frequently visited by visitors were intensively sterilized and disinfected using ultrafine particle sprayers.
A dedicated team centered on the department in charge of forest recreation and experience facilities has also been formed to actively respond.
The dedicated team conducts its own novel coronavirus response training, provides about 500 masks and hand sanitizers at recreation and experience facilities, and promotes compliance with personal hygiene rules to users.
To alleviate visitors' anxiety and for prevention, disinfection of forest recreation and experience facilities will be conducted regularly.
On the 8th, a campaign was held at the Goindol Traditional Market distributing promotional materials explaining proper hand washing, mask wearing, cough etiquette, and the importance of prevention rules.
The county urged that if suspicious symptoms appear after traveling abroad, people should report to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency call center or health center, wear a mask, and visit screening clinics using their own private vehicles.
