The design emphasizes surfaces by reducing lines and steps, embodying Mercedes-Benz’s design motto of ‘sensual purity.’ The front features a low and long hood, a diamond radiator grille, and newly designed LED high-performance headlamps. The rear has taillights composed of two parts that emphasize the vehicle’s width, creating a clean impression. The New A 220 Sedan and The New A 250 4MATIC Sedan are equipped with next-generation 4-cylinder gasoline engines. They deliver maximum outputs of 190 horsepower and 224 horsepower, and maximum torques of 30.6 kg·m and 35.7 kg·m, respectively. In Individual mode, the engine, transmission, and handling can be customized according to the driver’s preferences.
The premium coupe sedan CLA harmonizes sports car proportions with the dynamic design of a 4-door coupe. The second-generation model emphasizes the coupe design further with a long and extended hood, power dome, and a rear license plate positioned lower. The interior is themed around ‘high-tech’ and ‘youthful avant-garde,’ with all elements including the steering wheel, center console, and seats designed accordingly. The standalone wide-screen display and large panoramic sunroof provide a spacious feel. Compared to the previous model, the front and rear tracks have been widened by 63mm and 57mm respectively, and the low center of gravity design offers a sporty driving experience.
