Ministry of Foreign Affairs Holds Korea-Japan Cultural Diplomacy Directors' Meeting... Discussing Enhancement of Cultural Cooperation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The 17th Korea-Japan Cultural Diplomacy Directors-General Meeting, led by Seo Eun-ji, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Public Cultural Diplomacy Bureau, and Shinno Mitsuko, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' International Cultural Exchange Division, was held on the 7th in Tokyo, Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The Korea-Japan Cultural Diplomacy Directors-General Meeting is a regular consultative body between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs to discuss the promotion of cultural cooperation between the two countries, including the activation of cultural and human exchanges. This meeting was held for the first time in six years since the 16th meeting in 2014.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "At this meeting, both sides' related agencies shared their countries' public cultural diplomacy policies and discussed the current status of cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as culture, tourism, sports, and youth exchanges, as well as follow-up measures for the Korea-Japan Cultural and Human Exchange Task Force (TF)."
